IUBAT Central Library is Bangladesh's first private university library that is completely automated by KOHA. IUBAT Central Library serves as a cornerstone of knowledge and community participation, offering a diverse range of books and services to fulfill the needs of its patrons. The IUBAT Central Library has printed and online resource that assists the university's teaching and research activities. Library has a wide range of printed collections contain around 41,000 materials, with over 81,000 online e-resources. The Library features an outstanding digital library system for e-readers, with access to several online periodical databases, including over 41000 e-books and e-journals such as IEEE, LiCOB, Jstor, and Research4Life in IUBAT Online e-resources. IUBAT Central Library is one of the largest private university libraries in Bangladesh, spanning over 18,000 square feet.
The library is organized into the following sections: Circulation, Acquisition and Processing, Archives, E-Library, Founder's Corner, Bangabandhu and Liberation War Section, Fiction Corner, Journals and Periodicals, and News Clippings. The IUBAT Library's collections include books, CDS, DVDs, journals, magazines, practicum reports, IUBAT publications, periodicals, newspapers, manuscripts, films, maps, prints, documents, microforms, cassettes, videotapes, Blu-ray Discs, e-books, audiobooks, databases, and other formats. These collections can be reached through the Online Public Access Catalogue. Approximately 2,000 users (researchers, professors, officers, and students) utilize library with barcode-printed ID cards in everyday.
To use the library, each student must follow the dress and behaviour code of IUBAT with a printed barcode ID card.
The library strictly prohibits the use of headphones, ear buds, or mobile phones for any reason. Bringing food or drink into the library is not allowed.
Before entering, users must punch their valid ID card.
To get library services, users must be registered. Services are not available without registration.
Users must work quietly in study areas. Conversations and discussions are not permitted inside the Library.
Using a mobile phone is not allowed for any purposes inside the library. Talking over the phone is strictly prohibited.
Eating and drinking inside the reading area is strictly prohibited.
Use books properly and avoid tearing pages, underlining, or marking them in any way.
Documents must be properly checked out from the library. Submit an application to the librarian for proper action.
Photocopying books inside the library is not allowed. Photocopying an entire textbook violates Fair Use principles.
No personal items are allowed inside the IUBAT Central Library.
Before leaving the library, return library books to the designated tables after use.
Each area is designed for specific purposes. Users should complete tasks in their designated sections.
The librarian reserves the right to withdraw or refuse library services to any student who disregards the above-listed rules and regulations.
Users can borrow only the books designated by library staff. If a user finds the book and desires to borrow it, he or she will undertake the following method

Books and Documents: Any books or documents lost by the borrower must be replaced with a new copy of the same author(s), title, and edition. A book(s) of a single author, title, and edition cannot be substituted by a book(s) or documents of another author and title. For missing books or documents, the borrower will be liable for the current market value of the lost book as a fee to the Library including 20% service charge.
Library clearance typically involves returning all borrowed materials, including books, journals, multimedia resources and any other items checked out from the library. Fines or fees must be settled, including overdue fines, replacement costs for lost or damaged items, and any other charges incurred during the borrowing period. The Softcopy and Hard Copy of practicum (with certificate) and thesis report including supervisor signature must be submitted to the library for library clearance.
