About IUBAT Library
IUBAT Central Library is Bangladesh's first private university library that is completely automated by KOHA. IUBAT Central Library serves as a cornerstone of knowledge and community participation, offering a diverse range of books and services to fulfill the needs of its patrons. The IUBAT Central Library has printed and online resource that assists the university's teaching and research activities. Library has a wide range of printed collections contain around 41,000 materials, with over 81,000 online e-resources. The Library features an outstanding digital library system for e-readers, with access to several online periodical databases, including over 41000 e-books and e-journals such as IEEE, LiCOB, Jstor, and Research4Life in IUBAT Online e-resources. IUBAT Central Library is one of the largest private university libraries in Bangladesh, spanning over 18,000 square feet.
The library is organized into the following sections: Circulation, Acquisition and Processing, Archives, E-Library, Founder's Corner, Bangabandhu and Liberation War Section, Fiction Corner, Journals and Periodicals, and News Clippings. The IUBAT Library's collections include books, CDS, DVDs, journals, magazines, practicum reports, IUBAT publications, periodicals, newspapers, manuscripts, films, maps, prints, documents, microforms, cassettes, videotapes, Blu-ray Discs, e-books, audiobooks, databases, and other formats. These collections can be reached through the Online Public Access Catalogue. Approximately 2,000 users (researchers, professors, officers, and students) utilize library with barcode-printed ID cards in everyday.
How the Services are Organized
Membership
Firstly, there is a need to fulfill users information in a form provides by the circulation desk at IUBAT Central Library. Then, the information has been registered at IUBAT Central Library OPAC. After registration, users has been confirmed by an email contains with OPAC user ID and password including the password of online databases. By signing in, users can access their online account; use the library remotely, checking library status, enjoying subscribed e-resources and digital library resources from anywhere. Without online registration, users can't use library physically either.
Dress and Behavior Code
Every Student must be maintaining IUBAT dress and behavior code. Without dress code nobody are allowed inside the Library. Without valid ID card, students are not allowed inside the library. English as the first Language of IUBAT, library users must be communicate in English.

Library Rules & Regulations
- Entries: Before entering, users must punch their valid ID card.

Library membership: To get the library service, users must be registered. Library services are not available without registration. Log in to your account!

- Silent Mood: Users are required to work quietly in the study area. Conversations and discussions are not permitted inside the library.
- Use Phone: Using a mobile phone is not allowed for any purposes inside the library, and talking over the phone is not allowed inside the library.
- Food: Eating and drinking inside the reading area are strictly prohibited.
- Underline: Use books properly and avoid tearing pages, underlining, or marking them in any way.
- Issuing Policy: Taking a document without properly checking it out from the library requires submitting an application to the librarian to take proper action.
- Copyright: Photocopy books are not allowed inside the library. Photocopying an entire textbook violates the principles of Fair Use.
- Personal items: Personal items are not allowed inside the IUBAT Central Library.
- Use Resources: Before leaving the library, keep the library books on the table after using them.
- Rules refusal: The Librarian shall arrange for the right to withdraw or refuse library services to any student who disregards the above-listed rules and regulations.

E-Library Section
E-Library has 48 computer terminals for accessing subscribed electronic information resources via online like IEEE through UGC, LiCoB through BAS, Research4life and more offline databases. The Library is subscribing the e-resources with a view to complement the traditional print collections. This E-Library division also develops and maintains an Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). The library catalogue is automated by using KOHA Integrated Library Management Software (ILMS). Every day, around two hundred individuals access the E-library. Users can access the E-Library from 8.30 am until 8 pm.
